Sandra P. Scott

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Sandra Perry Scott, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at the Seaford Center Nursing Home, where she had resided for the past several years. Sandy was born on November 10, 1942, in Salisbury, MD, a daughter of the late Earl Grant Perry and Martha Culver Perry. She spent her life dedicated to her family and a career in public service. She served as the assistant Director of the Delmar Public Library, where she inspired many with her love of literature and education. Sandy was an active member of the former King's United Methodist Church in Delmar and also participated in the New Century Club of Delmar. Her passions included reading and crocheting, but nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Sandy is survived by a son, Douglas W. Scott and companion, Laura Owens; grandchildren, Katie Kimbro and husband, Brad, Krista Wing and husband, Zeke, Kaleb Scott, Kimberlyn Lewis and husband, Dillon, Tyler Scott and wife, Megan and Cody Scott; great grandchildren, Kenton, Kendall, Eli, Klaira and Noah ; a brother, Earl G. "Buddy" Perry, II and wife, Karen; daughters-in-law, Mellisa Nunley and Teresa Bennington; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George W. Scott, who passed in 2004; and sons, Phillip Wade Scott and George W. Scott, II. A graveside service will be held in her honor at St. Stephen's Cemetery on Monday, August 11, 2025, at 11:30 AM. Friends and family are invited to come together to remember Sandra and share their memories of a remarkable woman who touched the lives of many.
