Lary E. von Arx

Lary E. von Arx, a beloved son, husband, father, and friend, passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at the age of 56. Born on September 28, 1968, in St. Mary's, Pennsylvania, Lary lived a life rich in love, laughter, and community. He is the son of Robert and Sally (Wheaton) Chango. He was a proud graduate of Punxsutawney Area High School and Jeff Tech Vocational school, where he studied as a machinist. Lary dedicated many years of his career to the manufacturing industry, serving as a machinist and plant manager at Plymouth Tube in Salisbury and Crystal Steel in Delmar. His work ethic, exceptional skills and unwavering determination made him a respected figure in his field. Known for his ability to fix anything, Lary was always ready to lend a hand to others, embodying a spirit of generosity that inspired all who knew him. Family was Lary's greatest achievement. In addition to his parents, he is survived by four sons, Jacob von Arx, Hunter von Arx, Dominic Succarotte, and Kaden von Arx, nurturing their passions and instilling in them the values of teamwork and perseverance. He is also survived by sisters, Toni Chango, Dawn Marvel (Nehemiah), Chantelle Jacobson, Tracy Gruenwald (Paul), and Julie Webster (Chris); grandmother, Mary Jane Wheaton; many nieces and nephews, and his former wife and mother to Jacob and Hunter, Lori Kemp. He was preceded in death by his wife, Tracie Stuchlik von Arx. An avid Penn State Football fan, Lary relished the beauty of the outdoors, particularly through fishing and hunting that brought joy and camaraderie to his life. He will be remembered as a man who loved to laugh, celebrated for his quick wit and great sense of humor that warmed the hearts of those around him. A celebration of his life will be held privately by family at a later date. To honor Lary's memory, the family has requested donations be made to the Delmar Little League, P.O. Box 518, Delmar, DE 19940. Lary E. von Arx will be dearly missed but joyfully remembered for the incredible mark he left on all of us.
